What it does

AI Handover gets a Figma frame ready for Claude Code, Cursor or any AI chat. It checks the frame for everything an AI would have to guess, then writes the whole frame up as one markdown file the AI can build from.

How it works

  1. Select a frame and press Check.
  2. Fix what it finds, or don’t. It lists components missing hover, focus, disabled or error states, values that aren’t on variables, text with no style, detached instances, and layers still called “Frame 427”. Each issue says why it matters and suggests the closest token.
  3. Add notes for what the design can’t show, like “the list scrolls, newest at the bottom”.
  4. Hand it over. Copy or download the markdown, paste it into your AI, and let it build.

What the markdown includes

  • Warnings: the places your AI would guess, each with the closest token.
  • The tokens used, with their code names.
  • Components and variants, with every property that was set.
  • Layout written as rules: auto layout, gaps, padding, and fill and hug sizes.
  • Your notes, at the top.

What you need

  • Figma, in Design or Dev Mode.
  • Any AI coding tool or chat, such as Claude Code or Cursor.

Questions

Does it use AI?
No. It follows rules and runs no AI itself, and every warning says why it was raised.
Will it change my file?
Only when you press Rename or Apply, and one Undo reverses it. Tokens that are close but not exact are never applied for you.
Does anything leave my file?
No. The plugin has no network access. Your notes are saved inside the Figma file.
